Pre-pregnancy folic acid

pre pregnancy

Women who plan for pregnancy are advised to take balanced diet with adequate micronutrients which includes folate, iodine, omega 3, vitamin D and iron.

New study suggests that L-Methylfolate was more effective than folic acid at increasing red blood cell folate concentrations.*

Pregnant women are advised to take folate during pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects (NTDs).*

L-Methylfolate is better choice of folate for women with history of pregnancy complications e.g preeclampsia, gestational diabetes,

hypertension in pregnancy.
